The step-in design features an open gusset rather than a center zipper, allowing the garment to be pulled on without a center closure running through the glute area.

Because this garment is designed to be stepped into rather than pulled up through a center zipper, it provides a different fit through the glute and hip area than a garment with a center zipper.
